Hi, and welcome!
I’m Selina, and my Chinese name is Canran. I’m a ballet dancer, student leader, and designer
driven by curiosity, creativity, and compassion. For over thirteen years, ballet has been my
language of discipline and expression, leading me from local studios in Shanghai to
international competitions, where I earned top awards in both classical and modern dance.
Off stage, I’ve found purpose in using art to empower others. At the Shanghai School of Special
Education, I volunteer as a dance instructor, teaching movement to students with disabilities.
Through this work, I’ve learned that dance isn’t only about perfection, it’s about connection, joy,
and confidence.
That belief now guides everything I do. Whether I’m researching how exercise affects sleep
rhythms, designing a ballet shoe to prevent injuries, or leading projects that support student
wellbeing, I’m driven by curiosity and care—always asking how ideas can move gracefully from
imagination to impact.
I’m excited to continue creating at the intersection of art, science, and design—where
movement meets meaning, and every challenge becomes an opportunity to connect.
Thanks for being here. ♡
